Basement honky-tonk in Bandera, the self-proclaimed Cowboy Capital of the World. Building constructed 1921, became The Silver Dollar dance hall in the 1940s, purchased in 1968 by singer-songwriter Arkey Blue (still performing with the Blue Cowboys decades later). Named one of the top three honky-tonks in Texas by Texas Highways magazine. Has hosted Willie Nelson, Robert Earl Keen, Charlie Robison, Johnny Bush. Hole-in-the-wall entrance through a side door next to Bandera's General Store - stairs lead down to the dance floor below street level
