Tuesday Night Two-Stepping in Austin

Tuesday nights are one of the best kept secrets in Austin. Less crowded than weekends, regular bookings at the best honky-tonks, and a dedicated two-step community that shows up every week.

Sagebrush

Tuesday is a Double or Nothing Two-Step lesson night at Sagebrush. 6pm Beginner Two-Step Lesson, 7pm Intermediate Two-Step Lesson, followed by live music from 8pm. $10 cash covers the lessons AND the band. No partner needed.

Broken Spoke

Tuesdays at Broken Spoke mean Weldon Henson - one of Austin's most beloved honky-tonk singers. Restaurant opens early with free live music 6-8pm. Dancehall opens at 8pm with Weldon at 9pm. $10-15 cash cover.

White Horse

The White Horse runs Tuesday nights with three bands (10pm, 12am lineup varies weekly). $5 cover.

Other Tuesday spots

Little Longhorn has Fingerpistol most Tuesdays at 8pm (no cover). Continental Club has Whitney Rose at 6:30pm and The Ransom Brothers later. Donn's Depot has Grouchy Like Riley at 9pm.
